QCR-ST eggshell thickness measuring instrument
The thickness of the eggshell depends on the breed, the feed and the age of the bird-in order to reduce the number of inferior eggs.
The micrometer electronically measures the thickness of the housing (in microns) and enters the measurement into the test. It can be instrumented or connected to a microprocessor.
The instrument is easy to use, simply place the housing between the two spherical ball ends of the micrometer and tighten the ratchet-the reading when the ratchet makes a sound is the housing thickness measurement, in microns.
